Zigbee sensor devices can enter pairing mode using several methods. Follow the appropriate instructions based on your device type and available reset options.
Button Reset
Sensor devices typically come with a physical button. Press and hold this button for a period of time to reset the device and enter pairing mode. Locate the reset button on your sensor device, press and hold for 3-5 seconds, release when the indicator light starts blinking.
Power Reset
Some sensor devices require a power reset, such as unplugging and plugging back in the power source or removing and reinserting the battery. For battery sensors: remove battery, wait 5-10 seconds, reinsert. For powered sensors: disconnect power, wait 5-10 seconds, reconnect.
Reset Hole
If your device has a small hole labeled "reset", use a slender object to gently press and hold it. Hold for a few seconds until the indicator light blinks. Commonly used for compact sensors where a physical button would be impractical.
Contact Manufacturer Support
If reset attempts fail, contact the device manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. Have ready: device model number, purchase date/location, methods tried, any error messages observed.
