After upgrading the iOS app, if you find that the Widget component is not working, how can you add it back?
What might be the reason for the configured widget not working?
If pre-configured Widget components cannot be used properly after upgrading the App, the issue is caused by an iOS system problem. You can resolve this by restarting your phone or re-adding the Widget component. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the App.
How to re-add a widget?
iOS provides two sets of Widget components, and the setup methods are as follows:
- On any screen of the iOS system, long-press to enter edit mode, tap Edit – Add Widget, and then select the Widget you want to add. This method can be used to add the new version of Widget components.
- Access the iOS system's Today View screen, tap the Customize button at the bottom, and then select the Widget you wish to add. This method adds the legacy Widget components (after updating to the iOS 18 system, Apple no longer supports this type of Widget component. If previously added Widget components cannot continue to be used, please use the method described in step 1).
If you still encounter load failures while using the Widget, it indicates an issue with the phone's Widget functionality. In this case, restart your phone and try again.
