How to Check Your Router Password

Find your Wi-Fi password to connect smart devices to your network.

If you've forgotten your Wi-Fi password, here are several ways to find it.

Method 1: Check the Router Label

Most routers have a sticker with the default Wi-Fi name and password. Look for:

  • Bottom or back of the router
  • Labels saying "SSID" and "Password" or "Key"

Method 2: Check Connected Devices

On Windows

  1. Open Network settings
  2. Click on your connected network
  3. Select "Properties" > "Show password"

On Mac

  1. Open Keychain Access
  2. Search for your network name
  3. Check "Show password"

On Phone

Check your phone's Wi-Fi settings for saved passwords.

Method 3: Router Admin Panel

  1. Connect to your router
  2. Open browser and go to router's IP (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
  3. Log in with admin credentials
  4. Navigate to wireless settings to view password
