Why can't I reconfigure the network of the device after I remove the device on the App?

Learn why devices may not enter pairing mode after removal and how to resolve it

If you are unable to reconfigure the device after removing it from the App, please check if the device has entered the waiting-to-be-configured state:

Understanding Device States After Removal

1. General Device Removal Behavior

When you remove the device from the App, it is simply removed from the cloud server and does not automatically enter the waiting-to-be-configured state.

2. Bluetooth and Lighting Devices

Bluetooth devices and lighting devices mostly enter the waiting-to-be-configured state automatically after being removed from the App.

3. Zigbee Devices

If the device you removed is a Zigbee device, when you remove it from the App, the Zigbee device is only disconnected from the Zigbee gateway. If you need to re-add it, you need to set the Zigbee device to the waiting-to-be-configured state again.

To successfully reconfigure your device, make sure it enters the waiting-to-be-configured (pairing) mode. Refer to your device's manual for instructions on how to manually trigger pairing mode.
